Unless the present intentions of J.P. Morgan, son and heir of the late J. Pierpont Morgan, are altered, the City of New York will not receive as a permanent possession the $50,000,000 collection of paintings, miniatures, porcelains, and other works of art which J. Pierpont Morgan had intended, as he stated in his will, so to dispose of as to "render them permanently available for the instruction and pleasure of the American people."
